About Us

Created by Ryan Calloway, graphic artist.

I’d like to take a moment and explain how this picture came about.

While praying, the Lord showed this to my mother in a vision. She asked Ryan (her grandson, my nephew) to design it. When we saw it, I knew that I had to have it as part of my book.

My name is Doreen Hammond and I am an author and a poet. I love to write and love Jesus. I love to share with others what He has shared with me. I seem better able to do that through writing.

As a published author, I enjoy writing short stories and poetry.  The world of writing is a dream come true. As long as I can remember, becoming a published author is what I’ve always wanted to be.

I am very committed to Jesus Christ and have devoted my writing career to Him. I currently have three more book projects pending. I ask those of you who pray to Him, please if you feel so lead, say a prayer over me, that I will continue to be lead by His Holy Spirit. Thank you, in advance.

This is a picture of me on the left and Tamara Dailey-Keur on the right. Tamara wrote Miracles of Poetry and it can be purchased here on my website.

I live with my wonderful husband and best friend, Gary and our two fur kids; a great big Lab-mix, Lucy and Wrigley our Staffordshire bulldog mix.  Lucy is four and a half years old and is very lovable.  Wrigley is about sixteen months and has two speeds: on or off. He can be very loveable and sweet and angelic or very much a spitfire!  Wrigley has become our comic relief as he has entered our lives in January of 2005.  We rescued him from the bitter winter.  Someone dropped him out in the woods and Gary discovered him on his way to pick me up from work one day.  He has brought much joy to our lives and has given me much to write about.  Lucy adores having a brother and we are learning the meaning of the statement, "boys will be boys".  Wrigley definitely has the bulldog attitude. I work full time in an accounting department of a manufacturing company.
